Skanska/Utiligrid Ty Hafan Walk

Skanska in Wales committed 3 teams to take part in the Welsh 3 Peaks challenge on the 17th June 2017, scaling Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in the North, Cadair Idris in mid-Wales, and Pen y Fan in the South. Now in its 19th year, the team joined walkers from all over the world to walk a distance of 20.35 miles, making a total ascent of 9,397ft (2,864m) all in a target time of just 15 hours. We joined together to raise money for Tŷ Hafan – the children’s hospice in Wales. The team’s progress can be viewed on the Facebook page Waterwalkers2017

Utiligrid were proud to be part of the team Waterwalkers2017 for such a worthwhile cause, also supporting the logistics side of the challenge by sponsoring the team mini-bus and supplying the fuel to get us to the various locations in Wales.

The challenge was a fantastic success and the team managed to complete it successfully, raising an incredible £4,421.82 for Ty Hafan! Thank you to everybody who sponsored us for this challenge, we cannot thank you enough.
